We are prismatic

Plus, soak tonight at 7PM!

We are prismatic
Two bowls full of peaches and nectarines, in the center, a pothos plant in water.
What of healing

Yesterday I started a Fall Cleanse of our closets. I hadn’t planned it; just felt the need to go through and sort my clothes, our clothes. I found a few things that I had not been looking for, and had even forgotten that I had.

Shot of Nzingha in an emerald flannel shirt, light blue scarf, standing in from of a collage by Evan Bishop highlighting the BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL movement led by Baba Elombe Brath and AJASS. This mural is on 125th Street just off Park Avenue, by the Harlem Metro North station.
What of love

The focus for today’s soak is using the light of this September Moon to Find and to Release.

A friend shared a shot of the Mexican moon. Isn’t it beautiful?
What of time

Finding something, anything requires holding light to it, holding your eyes on it, holding the space of it.

A panful of sliced nectarines, magenta-red in the center, being prepped for a cobbler.
What of trust

Finding something requires choosing to be witness to the unfolding, un/belching of eyes.

What the heck is the un/belching of eyes?

Nzingha reaching up to pick a nectarine at Fishkill Farms.
What of knowing

It is part of the unmasking shift. A long process by which we reveal the wholeness of ourselves to our loved ones. How is the unmasking going? Are you masked for convenience, or for safety? Are you masked for love, or in protection? When and where, how does your mask come off?

Nora and Eugene posing with a few nectarines in hand!
What of known

We are prismatic. As Baba Elombe Brath might say, we are kaleidoscopic. When you see me, do you see me?

Nzingha here fam heyyyy…
